Asia Expansion is the third DLC for the digital adaptation of Wingspan, an award-winning board game about birds, designed for 1-5 players. In Wingspan, you create and care for your very own, vibrant nature preserve consisting of 3 habitats: forest, grassland, and wetland. Each time you visit those, you can play bird cards with unique powers, based on their natural characteristics. Your main goal is to attract as many birds as possible and complete various challenges to earn points that will ultimately let you emerge victorious!

Base version of Wingspan

Journey for Two: Duet Mode

In Duet Mode, you compete with one other player for additional points using a special Duet Map. To come out on top, travel across the map, claim different habitat spaces with Duet Tokens, and achieve new end-of-round goals specific to this exciting head-to-head mode.

New Cards Featuring Asian Birds

Admire the beautiful, diverse birds of Asia. Learn interesting facts about them and learn to identify their sounds. Along with Asia Expansion, up to 90 feathered creatures are waiting for you to show you their chirping world.

RED-CROWNED CRANE

This card will help you gather more victory points using bonus cards! Score 1 of your bonus cards now by caching 1 resource from the supply on this bird for each point. Discard that bonus card and draw 1 new one.

SPOTTED DOVE

Doves are avid travelers, which may give you an advantage in your pursuing to create the best habitat. If this bird has no birds to the right of it, you may move it (only the card) to the player mat of the player on your right on the habitat of your choice. If you do, you can draw 3 cards.

INDIAN VULTURE

If you’re lacking bonus cards, Indian Vulture will come in handy. This card allows you to copy one bonus card of the player on your left as if it were your own.

Purple Heron

This bird allows you to make a casino roll! Choose any 2 dice. Roll them up to 3 times. Each time, if you roll at least 1 invertebrate or fish, cache 1 here. If not, stop and return all food cached here this turn. Are you ready for this risk?

COMMON TAILORBIRD

Birds of a feather flock together, and in the case of Common Tailorbird power, this is the same nest type that will help you win! This bird finds a contiguous group of birds in your preserve that all have the same nest type and lays 1 egg on each of them.

ASIAN KOEL

This bird will let you gain more eggs, no matter the egg limits on the card of your choice! When another player takes the “lay eggs” action, this bird lays 1 egg on another bird with a platform nest. You may go 3 over its egg limit while using this power. This power will help you gain additional points from eggs at the end of the game.

BRAHMINY KITE

There are birds in the Oceania Expansion that can copy the ability of another players card.

Players who are interested in playing with other birders – we have you covered! Wingspan: Asia Expansion enables cross-platform gaming with players from all over the world. No matter where you are, you can test your nature preserve-creating skills against players from around the world.

For those with a thirst for more competition, we have also created the Automa Weekly Challenge. This mode allows players to challenge Automa under strict rules. The best player of the week is always displayed in the game menu, so everyone knows who the current champion is.
